Yo I was just talking about this last night with my friends!

We were driving down Flatbush and I noticed random people that prefer biking in the street, which slows me down sometimes. A friend of mine told me that it's illegal to bike on the sidewalk.

I'd assume biking on a sidewalk is safer, especially in areas where there aren't many pedestrians.

 

I dont mind the tix....but it was 7 of them! They were embarrassed so they ran my license to see if I had any warrants

Happened to me brother. Yes, they will ticket you for riding your bike IN A PARK! Sometimes they have to fulfill their daily quota to show that they're active.

The city needs to make money.

GO TO COURT and take care of the fine. It will stay on your record! IF YOU DECIDE to AVOID IT or ignore it for a while, THEY MAY EITHER ACTIVELY PURSUE you OR have an outstanding warrant for your arrest. And don't get stop for anything in the interim.
