What are you talking about? While I think you guys are just messing with the poor engineer you do have to realize that he is an employee for a major studio and him "kicking you out" is only because the studio manager or owner has scheduled something behind your allotted time.
Studios sell blocks of time to clients such as yourself. Blocks of time or "lockouts" are usually in 12 or 14 hour increments and charged at a set price. Any time used over that "lockout" time is charged as overtime. In many cases a studio wont have anything booked behind you and you can run as long as you like. Other times the studio does have something scheduled behind your session and you need to get out in order to allow for the next client. In scheduling lockouts studios usually allow for one hour of overtime if needed which is apparent that they did in your case as your 12 hour lockout was supposed to end at 6AM and the engineer said you could stay until 7AM.
How would you like to arrive at the studio and have someone else still in your room from the previous session? Also, If an engineer such as Jason Goldstein, Pat Vialla or Tony Maserati are coming in to mix a session it usually takes an assistant engineer 1 to 2 hours to set up all of their outboard gear and prepare for that mix session.
That point aside please realize that you put that engineer in a seriously uncomfortable position. You are his client and he would do anything to keep you happy. For you to understand that he has no choice but to inform you of when you need to be out of the studio by is the greatest and most professional thing you can do for him.
But the fucked up thing is the most of the Urban music hires strickley white engineers even though they could give less of a fuck about your project. Niggers wake up, hire some blacks to record and mix your music, fucl these cracker assed engineers. We're gonna start Rok-Bo-ing these dudes (hopefully they won't have your hard drives at the time)
