New York based independent record label TVT Records terminated the majority of their employees today, sources revealed to AllHipHop.com today (February 18)
TVT, which is home to major recording stars like Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz, Pitbull, Ying Yang Twins, The Polyphonic Spree and others, is expected to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this week.
I believe that the independent labels are going to make a stronger statement for rap music in the future but this still isn't it a good sign none the less, whether you like TVT artists or not

You think A&R's will go extinct altogether being that the people can now seek out who they want to listen to and no longer need the big labels to go find talent thanks to 2.0 arent most labels just seeing who has the biggest pre-deal following anyway so the consumers are really being the A&R's and the labels are just being followers..
